About me
I have always had a passion for languages and I enjoy working with the written word. Whether I am on watch for spelling and grammar mistakes or in search of new phrasings, my ambition is always to make the best out of any text. Apart from the highest priority of correctly translating a text's content, my aim is to create a natural-sounding text which can be read fluently and which maintains its original style.
I studied Linguistics, American Studies and French at the University of Tübingen and graduated in 2006 (Master of Arts). Afterwards, I worked as a personal assistant for the senior physicians at the Dept. of Urology of the University Hospital Tübingen for 5 years.
In the course of time, my area of work was extended. Next to the correspondence with international cooperation partners and non-German-speaking patients, the revision and translation of scientific abstracts, manuscripts and presentations became more and more the focus of my work. I translated texts from German to English and vice versa and acquired an extensive medical and technical vocabulary.
